Coach Ricci's ability to create and develop “Oneness” permeated not only his football team, but spread to the school and the entire Garnet Valley community. After speaking to a number of different groups, Ricci was able to formulate his vast experiences into a 7-step process. This serves as a blueprint for any group to follow and move their organization from good to great. The steps are simple to follow, easy to understand and implement, and presented in such a way that allows the listener to brainstorm immediately applicable ideas relevant to their needs as Ricci talks. This tried and true 7 step system has helped transform major corporations, large and small companies, athletic teams, and a wide variety of other organizations into high functioning teams that are better able to achieve goals and execute their mission statement. Achieving Oneness will create a culture of inclusion and self-improvement that transforms teams into performing at levels previously thought impossible.
Probably the most widely recognized artifact from Coach Ricci's tenure at Garnet Valley is the widely acclaimed Pyramid of Principles that serves as a “visual guide” for the team, the parents associated with it, the student body, and the surrounding community. The pyramid is a collection of Garnet Valley Football standards and expectations that are bordered by the words "Selflessness," "Hard Work," and “Character" and contains a tiered grouping of various words and phrases that point to the ultimate goal-Achieving Oneness.
Coach Ricci has done an amazing job of setting a vision and creating cultural beliefs that transcend football and are applicable to our organization and business.
